The Best Games From Tokyo Game Show 2022

Lots of people enjoy gaming. However, in most cases, players get tired with the most thrilling titles after entering their worlds for a while, and it doesn’t matter if these are slots at Woo Casino or more challenging projects. Looking for new games? Then pay attention to these offers that were presented during Tokyo Game Show 2022.

Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6 has moved to the Resident Evil engine, so the characters now look more realistic. However, the familiar cartoonishness they have not lost.

Fencing is divided into three large “modules”: World Tour, Battle Hub and Fighting Ground. World Tour – a story campaign with a hero, which you create “from scratch” in the editor. Battle Hub is competitive multiplayer. Fighting Ground – a basket of entertaining modes, take Extreme Battle, where you set the rules of the fight, plus the arena pops up either by a ball bomb or a bull.

Duels are accompanied by replicas from cybersport commentators. They are generated in real time, which makes the fighting game similar to simulators from the category of FIFA and NHL.

SF 6 has retained the standard six-button input scheme. If you’re new to the genre, you can activate the simplified layout – with it a dashing combo can be done by a child.

Forspoken

Forspoken is a parkour action game from Square Enix. According to the plot, a girl named Frey from modern-day New York is miraculously swept up in the land of Atia.

Atia is a place where magic is used. Frey has a talent for it. She uses spells to fight her enemies and move quickly across landscapes unspoiled by civilization.

Atia was a blooming land, but the plague fog has taken its toll. The sorceresses who once wisely ruled the land had become evil sorceresses. So Frey, immune to the fog, is the locals’ last hope.

Like a Dragon 8

Episodes one through six of the Yakuza series are action thrillers. The central character is Kazuma Kiryu, a bandit.

In the seventh part, Kiryu’s place was taken by the new hero Ichiban Kasuga. The series rejected active scuffles and became a turn-based RPG.

In Like a Dragon 8, both Kasuga and Kiryu will be in the frame. The fights will remain turn-based.

What did Kiryu do between Yakuza 6 and Like a Dragon 8? That’s what Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will tell in 2023. Next year fans of the line will also get a Like a Dragon: Ishin! – A spin-off about mid-19th century Japan.

Resident Evil: Village – The Winters’ Expansion

Resident Evil: Village is one of the best games of last year. The Winters’ Expansion is a major addition to it.

This add-on adds third-person perspective to horror action, so familiar to the fans of old RE. In The Mercenaries mode will add locations, plus be allowed to play Chris Redfield and the bosses – Lady Dimitrescu and Heisenberg. And most importantly, the story will develop missions with Rosemary Winters, the daughter of the protagonist of RE 7 and RE: Village – the events take place 16 years after the finale of RE: Village.

Bayonetta 3

Bayonetta 3 is a slasher from the masters from PlatinumGames who brought us Nier: Automata and Astral Chain.

The Bayonetta series is appreciated for the effective protagonist and the variant gameplay. The Japanese developers didn’t abandon their experiments in the third part. The second playable character – witch Vayola – will be the company of Bayonetta. Unlike the experienced warrior Bayonetta, Vayola is only being trained. Each heroine, of course, has her own set of tricks.

Phantom Fury

Slipgate Ironworks and 3D Realms are peddling Phantom Fury, the sequel to retro shooter Ion Fury (2019). Shelley Harrison is at it again!

This time the heroine will be destroying mutants and cyborgs in different locations in the United States, from Albuquerque to Chicago. It is no coincidence that the authors call the project a “road movie”, a kind of road trip adventure. Among the features of old-fashioned FPS – a huge number of interactive objects.
